Twelve Signs Your Children Are Spoiled
1) Their wardrobe is worth more than yours. Every stitch of clothing has a brand name emblazoned on it.
2) Your daughter gets regular manicures and facials and you don't.
3) Your kids walk around snapping a lion tamer's whip whenever you're near.
4) Your kids eat ice cream for dinner on a regular basis.
5) You serve different entrees for each child, plus they ask to see the dessert tray.
6) Flag Day takes on more importance than Mother's Day.
7) Your kids' annual Christmas list is scheduled to come out in paperback within a month and the total cost of the items requested will require a second lien on your mortgage.
8) Your teenager has a better car than you do.
9) Your children get cell phones before they reach ten.
10) You're exhausted, bedraggled, broke, twitching uncontrollably, and sometimes resort to lying in a quiet corner curled up in the fetal position, sucking your thumb.
11) Prozac and Valium are your only friends (and they still cost money).
12) Your children's idea of chores includes pushing the buttons on the TV remote, passing gas, shopping, and plucking twenties from your wallet.

I'd like to point out that the Medhus children do NONE of these things. Thankyouverymuch.

Hi there, Sounds like the end-of-school-non-education curriculum is a national standard. What a waste of time. I could barely motivate myself to drive Anna, as it is in the morning and I do not do morning. I will happily stay up half the night, but morning has always come hard.
Anna and I are in Southern California at my brother's. I went to a Fashion Market in LA to buy some clothes for the Goddess for later in the Fall. Leonard was in Lubec. Apparently, his favorite annual Pain meeting is in Lubec, but he left a day early because he claimed to be starving. (Bad vegetaian cuisine)
The Market was interesting. I discovered that I have competition. Another shoe store is opening in September, on the same street.
At first I was disappointed, but then I thought, two shoe stores in the downtown would increase the incentive to shop for shoes dowtown Redding. I ran into Valerie, the woman opening the other store, Elegant Sole, in LA at the shoe show. I then realized that she had not done her research and thought she could buy shoes for her opening in LA and Vegas in August. The LA show is small and low end and the Vegas shoe is for Spring. So, I still feel confident. She wants to do accessories and "unusual" shoes, brands noone has heard of. I think our area is too small and needs the basics. Did I send you my logo?
I loved the new book. Leonard liked the practical advice, the scripts. He thought that was helpful. As far as he is concerned, telling him what not to do is a waste of his attention span. Just tell him what to do and he will do it.
Seems it is time for birthday cake, chocolate.
Love ya,
Linda
