Lot's of things happening in the Medhus family. First is the fact that I'm a total laughingstock. My son drew little "love pictures" all over my left leg: happy faces, a butt in the act of pooping, and a penis with the word "PENIS" written in all caps and very large letters. I let him mostly to appease him into doing his homework and thought to myself, 'Damn, I better remenber to wash this off with alcohol.' You guessed it, I didn't. I spent a couple of hour in the Galleria with Kristina as well as a variety of other errand stops. Finally, I wound up a the vet's to get Zoe's bandage changed and the vet asked me if I've changed careers to become an ad exec. I was puzzled and thought 'what kind of rumors has he heard?' Then, he pointed to my X-rated leg and busted out laughing. Me, I raced out of the door to confiscate every permanent marker in the house before my son got out of school.
That same day, Annika comes to me complaining that she had icing up her nose. Yes, you heard me. SHe was eating icing, bent her head down, and breathed a funny way so that it lodged in her nasopharynx (just behind her nose.) I had to irrigate it out with saline, rainbow sprinkles and all. Never saw that one a comin'.
Annika performed beautifully at her piano recital. She was actually one of the best, but she was a bit nervous. Today is her graduation from elementary school. No more grade school kids. Man I'm old as Methuselah, now.
