My dear fellow parents, I want to welcome you to a new future—for both you and your children. As a parent, you are an invaluable part of the most powerful group in the world—a group that can see an end to the problems we now have in our families, among our children and in society as a whole. We can and will accomplish this goal by raising our children to be self-directed—to make choices according to what they believe is right rather than according to what will win them outside approval. We can show them how to do this by teaching them to rely on their own thoughts, principles and experiences for guidance rather than use outside influences like their peers, group agreement, the media, explicit movies and rap song lyrics as their moral compass. I also want to say, from the depths of my heart, thank you. You inspire me, because you are one of the few that take the time to find ways to be a better parent and to insure your children’s happiness. I am indeed in awe. The old road to nowhere is well rutted from centuries of weary travel. Now, we embark on a new road—one that is surprisingly easy and refreshingly empowering. As you walk this high road, I wish good fortune. And remember, I’ll be right there alongside you with my own five children in tow. Much love, respect and appreciation,
